Our warranty. What you should know.
At Douglas Dental Care, we stand behind our quality and workmanship, and we’re proud of our dental team and services. Our goal is for your treatment to last as long as possible. The long-term success of your dental care depends on proper oral hygiene, a sensible diet, regular professional examinations and hygiene visits as scheduled (frequency may vary based on individual needs, typically every 3, 4, or 6 months).
Minimal Warranty Requirements

Attend recare visits as prescribed (no more than 15 days past due).

Use all prescribed anti-decay or gum disease medications.

Follow guidance on habits like clenching and grinding that may damage your teeth.

Maintain a good standing with our office (no accounts in collections).

For full upper and lower denture patients, attend recare visits at least once every 12 months.

For patients with partial dentures or natural teeth, follow prescribed recare visit frequency.
If Minimal Warranty Requirements are met, the warranty period shall be:

5 years for defective or fractured crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, & porcelain veneers.

2 years for defective or fractured composite fillings, composite bonding, dentures, partials, flippers & nightguards.

If Minimal Warranty Requirements are NOT met, the warranty period shall be:

2 years for defective crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, & porcelain veneers.

1 year for defective dentures, partials, flippers & nightguards.

6 months for defective composite fillings & composite bonding.
*** A defective restoration will be repaired or replaced. A defective restoration or defective workmanship is determined solely by the dentist.
Exclusions. This Warranty does not cover:

Damage from accidents, trauma, negligence, or improper use (e.g., grinding, chewing ice).

Recurrence of decay, which can be prevented with proper care and regular cleanings.

Damage from mishandling of dentures, partials, or flippers (e.g., dropping, pet chewing).
-
Relines for dentures or partials.
Warranty Procedure
During your visit, the dentist will assess whether the issue is covered. If covered, the repair or replacement will be done immediately or scheduled for a later date. Please allow time for prosthetic replacements as needed.
